The 9th MERCAA Convention for Alcoholics Anonymous will be held in the United Arab Emirates (hosted by Dubai & Al Ain) on the 17th, 18th and 19th of November 2011. Let's share our Experience, Strength and Hope with others and celebrate our recoveries. Join us at the convention and taste sobriety in the sands.
This website provides you with helpful information with regards to the convention including registration, contacts, links and the program.
The registration fee is AED 350 and can be paid in person upon arrival, however, we request you to preregister via the link below in order to assist us in planning the event better. If you decide to arrive early please visit www.aaarabia.org to get in touch with local contacts and meetings.
Members of the host group are gearing up for 3 days of meetings, entertainment and a road trip. We invite AA’s from all over the world to join us on this occasion.

The venue has been strategically located in the centre of Dubai to allow for easy and convenient transportation. If you wish to stay at the Dhow Palace Hotel please visit their website to inquire about reservations. The Bur Dubai Area is flush with hotels of every category and price range.

Almost all hotels will offer transportation to and fro the airport, however, volunteers from the local group are more than glad to provide pick up service. Dubai International Airport accommodates many airlines through terminals 1, 2 and 3. You should be able to find many fares and routes online and through travel agencies. Terminal 1 is closest to the venue with the others being within a short distance.
